118.) Holiday!!

Well, not exactly a holiday but a 3 day break from work. Never actually had a 3 day break since started working in this company. The max was..1 1/2 day break.. That also explains the frequent..not updates to this blog anymore as i spent most of my time at work, if not i'll be in bed. Well, i work long hours considering i'm in commercial business..and the pay isn't that good for where i am, trust me. LOL. It's not worth getting into...yet... Well..as for workload, i've been doing the same things since i started, have yet to edited any materials yet..i mean..some minor work here and there but not the real commercials..Well, commercial line isn't the best place to be in the beginning stages as you practically have..well..limited life cause you're stuck in office for a good 10-12 hours a day if things get hectic and the working hours are odd too. Sometimes i start work at morning, sometimes noon, sometimes night. As cause of the shifts, i spent the christmas in office till 4am with my colleagues. HAHA. Yup, merry xmas Fizi, Azrai and Am.

It's the same as much as for the gunpla guy of me. Working odd and long hours means i don't have the sufficient time to sit around for a couple of days to assemble something. Well, i haven't bought any gunpla since i started working too. So i guess it's ok. Well, i bought several Keroro gunplas though and the MG Nu Gundam i have yet to assemble. Though currently eyeing on a MG Sinanju. Hehe. It shows to be more complicated than the usual MG range and it has tons of decals as well. I might just gonna get it and assemble it once i get a LONG break.

Here's a picture of MG Sinanju if you wonder what it looks like. Click here if you wish to see
more of the gunpla. It was released in Dec in Japan, should arrive in KL in a week or two. Already preorder mine, it's ranging from RM260-RM280. Well, if you're a Gundam 00 fan. The new OO-raiser 1/100 gunpla should arrive soon together with Sinanju. Though i'm not sure with the pricing.

Though i haven't been on a gunpla buying spree, but i've been buying a lot of action figures lately. Mostly revoltech.

Above is my little collection of Revoltech. From left, Alter Sable from Fate Stay Night, Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus from Transformers, Laevatein from Full Metal Panic and lastly Rei Ayami from Evangelion. There's a 6th, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I kept them back into the box after some little posing with them, except Prime and Ultra Magnus. They have yet to be opened. I have yet to find a place for them, to they might as well be in the box, they look nice too. LOL. My favourite, would be Laevatein i guess, he has the most accessories and it took my a lot of trouble to get it. It was sold out pretty quick among release back in August i think. So i could only get it from Ebay and i got mine from HK. Not only it took a while to arrive but the airmail tag was quite pricey! But i believe there's a shop in subang brought in new stocks of it. They didn't have last month but once i got from HK, and they do. LOL.

December 08 has been a hectic month in work and as well as spending. I spent a lot of ps3 games and animes, as well as going down to Sg to get my ps3 repaired, but i got a brand new replacement. Not too bad. =) Bought 4 new games, Little Big Planet, Fallout 3, Call of Duty 5 and Valkyria Chronicles. Though the truth is, i have yet to complete any of them. Cod5 is left untouched since i bought it. LBP is real fun when you go online with it, you get to play numerous players created levels, most of them are really good. As for Fallout 3, it's fucking huge. I spent almost 50 hours in, and i have to progress in the story mode at all. LOL. Though i'm at the last stage of VC, but it's kind of difficult to complete it with A ranking all the way so currently stopped playing. There isn't much new titles for this month, but notable release for coming months are Street Fighter 4, Killzone 2 and Resident Evil 5. I won't get SF4 though, not to my liking but definitely will get Killzone 2 and RE5. I barely survive on my current pay cheque so a title a month is all that i could afford. I'm cool with it, consider a lot of back titles to complete. Just i lack of the time to do so. Psssshhh....

I've developed a new hobby recently. Well, not really recently...just my old hobby is given a little refresh. I've been buying quite a number of animes lately. They're all good titles which are highly recommended by my good pals, Azrai and Fizi. I already spent more than 300 bucks on animes..and i've ordered some 15 titles from a friend for the fan subs versions. X D

117.) Fallout 3

Fallout 3 is an action role-playing game released by Bethesda Game Studios, famously known for their previous released game, Oblivion. It it the 3rd major game in the Fallout series and it take place in the year of 2277, 30 year after the setting of Fallout 2 and 200 years after the nuclear war that devastated the game's world.

The game was released on 28th October in the US but we(Malaysians) only get the taste of the game on late/early Friday(unless for those who spent RM330-360 for the US limited edition). Most of us got the Australian copy of the game on Friday for RM160-170, depending where you get it. I got mine on the way back from the clinic in KL. Though never really play the game on Friday itself cause was heavily drugged by medicines.

I was first introduced to the game inside vault, it's an underground shelter that no one enters or leaves. Somehow, when your character turned 16 years old, dear old dad escapes the vault and sends the Overseer(person in charge of the vault) to hunt you down(cause your dad escapes). Because i was good the Overseer's daughter when i was younger, she helped me escaped but she didn't follow me as i escape. I replayed the beginning parts several times though. Cause i ended up killing his father by accident and thought she'll be happy cause he was torturing her with another guard. So i replayed the scenario and let the father lives, thinking she might follow me to the wastelands, but she didn't. ><

But anyways, after escaping from the vault. I came to the first town called Megaton. It has an inactivated unclear bomb in the middle of the town and some local cult warship it as God. ><" Few minutes into the new town and i've gotta make the decision to activate the nuclear and blow Megaton sky high, WHICH i did. I kind of regretted the decision because soon, i found out that i could actually have a house in the game, and it's in Megaton. I got a feeling i get the house after saving them from the nuclear. ><" Guess i can only get the house on the 2nd play through.

Even though i activated the nuclear bomb, but i have yet to remotely activate the countdown. I'm currently doing quests for the folks in Megaton while waiting to press the magic button where i blow the town away. Sigh. I've been treating all the folks super nice and friendly, considering i made the wrong decision to activated the nuclear. But they accidently killed my dog when i shot the mayor(who happens to be a thug who wants me to pay him 300 for information), and i started killing everyone in the city, except kids. YES, you can kill anyone brutally, but the kids can't be killed in the game. After 10 minutes of slaughter, Megaton left no one but me and 3 kids. Since i'm already a Pirate of the Wastelands, an evil character. I traveled to another some town and wasted the 5 folks there and traveled to the next city. Once arrival, they were all dead because i refused to help them defend their home a few hours ago and i believe they were all killed by mutants. I actually saved two of the friends from the mutants before i refused to defend them. Sigh. So i reload the game(before i started slaughtering people) and traveled to the town where they were killed by mutants only to find that they're still alive. LOL. I don't know what and WHEN they were killed, but they were alive so i just slaughter them all for fun and quit the game. =p

The moral? Do not kill dogs!! You'll drive sane folks go crazy. 30+ people were brutally murdered because a dog was killed. x D

The thing with Fallout, once it's killed, it's not coming back. Same goes for the monsters and creatures. Once you clear a building, you'll be looking at corpses during your return trips.

I don't know what i wanted to write. But i'm once again affected by medicine and i'm going to bed now. LOL.

Good night folks.

116.) Back

It's been a month since i joined APV, it's a long hour work as you can see there isn't any updates anymore.

That's life working in a post house which does tv commercials. Long working hours. I started off as a tape op, what i do is. We 'make copies' of the commercials for clients, agencies and tv stations. It's like burning CD/DVD like what most of you do daily, but in a much complicated way cause we don't hand out cd/dvd to tv stations.(just using that as an example to what we do).

Normally i would have left the house before 7am to avoid the morning hour jam, and would leave office after 8pm to avoid evening hour jam. Though so, i've been leaving around 9pm and 10pm this whole week cause i've been doing some editing. I'm just editing for the sake of practicing, with the permission from the producer of course.

Enough about work. I spent the afternoon surfing and find a pretty interesting movie, red. Red is a dramatic thriller about a couple of kids who kill a dog name 'red' to amuse themselves. The owner finds out who they are and tries to bring them to justice by informing the authorities. However, it amounts to nothing so he decides to dish out his own brand of retribution.

The film was directed by Trygve Allister Diesen and Lucky McKee. Starring Brian Cox and Tom Sizemore.

video

Red looks to be a pretty interested thriller on a man seeking retribution of his dead dog. Should definitely keep an eye out for this.

It's been a great month for gamers with the release of Dead Space, Fifa09, Fallout3 and many other games. If you dig horror games, Dead Space would put your stereotype of horror genre to a whole new level. Why i said so? Find out yourself by playing the game. And don't forget to pick up Silent Hill 5 too if you're a long time Silent Hill fan. It's the first Silent Hill game in the series(except psp version), Silent Hill 5 was produced by a western company. It's a mix results, but it's still a title not to be missed and still offers a pretty good chilling moments here and there. Though i still find Silent Hill 2 was the best of all the series, either Silent Hill 2 or Silent Hill 3.

Fallout3 will be release in two days' time. So quickly grab it when it does. It's a big big game of the year.

I took the wonderful sunny afternoon to spray my gundams, will upload the photos to my gundam blog. Feel free to check them out if you're interested.

That's all for today update. =) Will be expecting more busy weeks at the office and home(gaming fallout3 now and Prince of Persia in November).

115.) Separated blog

Well, considering i've been blogging a lot about gundams recently. So i've created a new blog for my gundams stuffs.

The address is here. So feel free to visit back and forth. Though i not sure how leisure i am to be updating frequently since now i've got a long hour full time job. If you have a job, don't get into broadcasting. X D

I'll be removing the gundam entries from here to my gundam blog though.

114.) MG Hi-V Gundam

After completing majority of the gundam, didn't have time to continue so here's some pictures.

113.) MG Mk-II Titans

[HISTORY LESSON of me getting to know Gundams]
I first come to know about Mk-II was around 7-8 years ago when i was 15-16 years old, couldn't remember exact but was around there. When i learn about Mk-II, i wasn't really into gundams yet. I was merely browsing a toyshop in sgwang, those days, it was the only shop in sgwang selling gundams. I was browsing around the shop and the tauke recommended that i should get the PG Mk-II. Knowing nothing about gundams and whatever is PG was, the tauke never give some pointers or bother explaining much about it though. Plus, those times, google wasn't that popular yet. But anyways, i could still remember his words that the PG Mk-II is the best gundam model around, it's big and full of details and bla bla bla. After a few days of consideration, i decided to buy it, even though that time it was priced at RM500+, couldn't remember exact price. Upon spending a whole fortune to get the PG gundam, i have no idea what i'm getting myself into. Damn right i was.

Upon opening the box once i got home, i see shit loads of runners and hell, i didn't even know what's going on. Well, to be honest i did have some experience buying HG gundams when i was younger. I love LEGO and i love gundams too. But all i have been building was HG models, and not PG. Nevertheless, i made my first PG gundam, not having the proper cutter and shit, no inking and etc. Without doubt, the gundam isn't as nice as the tauke said. Well, it was BIG and damn freaking detailed, but without the tools, the nubs were still on the gundams and somehow or rather, the gundam is top heavy, it could hardly pose and always bends over and drops either front or back. That's how it got the backpack broken cause it dropped back to the front. That time, i was really frustrated with it considering i spent almost an entire week to build it, almost 2 nights to build just a leg. Well, the details in PG are freaking incredible, but i didn't know jack shit of how to appreciate it that time. So frustrated with the gundam, i shelved it aside till few years back that i eventually kept it in a box, out of my sight. Speaking of the tauke, he knows me so well that he refused to refund my Rm200 deposit for a PG Eva-01. I paid my deposit and waited, waited and waited for weeks and it hasn't arrive, so i asked back for my deposit. He said whatever it's paid, can't be refunded. BUT in the first place, he said if he couldn't get it, he will refund it. Well. Consider having a bad built of PG and Rm200 conned by the tauke, i hated gundam ever since and never spoke of gundams.

Well, that was 7-8 years ago, the tauke is still at Sgwang, i recognize him(how could i forget that bastard). But i never enter his shop since then. If i get a chance, i would still burn his shop, for once..only once. I shall not name his shop but it's somewhat, pretty, damn near to the sing k place. LOL.

Well, i wasn't into gundams for the past 8 years till i recently bought some gundams anime from a friend and got hooked ever since. I was watching Gundam 00 then and really wanted to get a gundam Exia but only to find that those in the market are non grades ones, which i don't really like. So in the end, after Joe recommended me dalong.net, i've been surfing for gundams quite often and finally got myself a FAZZ, it was around Rm200, my initial thought it was a bit too pricey for my first MG gundam but to hell with it. I didn't wanna repeat my mistake i did 8 years ago, so i did many, plenty of research before i actually started to build it. Though my first major mistake was i should have just build for fun rather than do it perfectly. I begun assembling by carefully nipping of the runners and carefully sand the nubs away, which took my a whole night just to build half an arm. Then later, my friend Alex and Kabil told me, i should just build for fun and so i listened and just assembled it. Out of all the research i've done, the best was still Danny Choo's tutorial and i tried to followed him as much as i could. One thing i followed 100% was the runner spraying before assembling, i really find that it improves the quality of the texture. However i screwed up when i attempt for my first top coat on my FAZZ. I guess i sprayed too much on the gundam that it made it white. So the grey and blue parts are 'affected' by heavy white. I have yet to fix the problem yet, but i bought some markers to deal with it.

After assembling FAZZ, i got myself Ex-S Gundam, which is a MASSIVE MONSTER. It heights the same as a PG and it's bigger size than most MG. Not only the size, the parts inside the gundam are more, more and more complicated than most MG gundams, though less complicated and still lesser parts than a PG. It was the most awesome MG gundam i have and i had the most fun and hell building it. It was challenging and it was rewarding. Though my regret is that i never spray the blue and it looks pretty plastic. LOL. Well, i think i made a mistake with the timeline of my purchase. I actually bought Ex-S before i finish assembling my FAZZ and bought a Strike Freedom Full Burst shortly after i bought the Ex-S. Ex-S was the last gundam i built among 3 of them. I didn't quite enjoy building Strike Freedom as it was really easy considering building a slightly fatter and more parts of a FAZZ. Though i screwed up the wings mechanism. SIGH. But all in all, Strike Freedom is a really nice looking gundam. Though couldn't be pose much as the wings are really heavy. It hardly stands without the stands. Well, same goes for FAZZ and Ex-S, they couldn't really pose much, especially Ex-S. Ex-S just looks mean and massive sitting there itself, so i'm damn satisfied with it. LOL.

A couple of weeks, or a few months later, i bought Sazabi, i didn't get the Metallic one cause i think it's overpriced so fuck it. I bought the standard one for RM280, was still damn freaking expensive, but was still cheaper than Ex-S. Sazabi is massive as well, so my initial thought i was expecting it to be no less as satisfying was when i was assembling the Ex-S. However it comes to my disappointment that Sazabi is actually made of a lot of big pieces, so the building process is fairly easy. But the end result is still awesome, Sazabi was the first gundam of mine that i actually do full runners spray to all colors, do inking and decals as i'm assembling it. So in the end, it's still damn freaking satisfying. Though it can't pose much, but standing there itself, it's awesome.

After completing Sazabi, i've actually decided not to buy anymore gundams as i've ran out of space. But well, guess everything isn't as we planned always. I accidentally stumbled upon a huge discounted Hi-Nu Gundam, which i wanted to get it earlier before Sazabi. So i got it immediately. Considering watching Gundam 00(the anime) recently, i decided to buy Virtue, it's a HG but with the size of a 1/100. So i think it's worth getting, but instead, i got myself a Mk-II and a Nu Gundam. I bought the Mk-II simply because i screwed up my first Mk-II, so i wanted to make a MG and see how well it is. So here is it, my Mk-II Titans, freshly completed this evening. Enjoy(and thanks for reading the long ass history.).

I skipped a lot on the decals but i also use a lot of extra decals on the models, where it look best.

Considered my first 4 MG were not that posable, so i find Mk-II damn amazing when it comes to posing. (If you're wondering why my Mk is 03 and the shield he has is 01. Well, they only gave 3 dry decals for ''03'', so i wanted something on the shield so i used "01". Just treat it as he stole it from 01. LOL) The shield looks better anyways.

More photos will be taken later once i've completed all my other gundams. My final verdict for Mk-II? Look at the above picture, thumbs up!

I also spent the evening(half way assembling Mk-II) to prime my Nu gundam and give it a grey monotone. It went pretty alright. Though i've used a slightly darker grey than the standard prototype models in Hobby Japan but it's still nice. Below is a couple of images i took of the grey Nu gundam, i only managed to assemble an arm and i've stopped because i noticed there's quite a number of pieces that need additional coat of grey so i'm putting a half till i buy another can of spray. It's actually my 3rd can of grey for Nu gundam now. I kind of forget if i primed all the runners for Nu gundam or i just primed the darker colors. But anyhow, coating another colors of them are more difficult and requires more coats(or maybe i sucks at spraying and wasting paints away).

As you can(might not) see, there's some white areas of the arm that is not completed coated with the grey. And no, i don't mean the white nubs area. I took this with my camera phone, lazy.

That's all for now. Gonna sleep. Working tomorrow.

Selamat Hari Raya to all Muslims.

112.) Updated gundam list

Went to Times Square in the afternoon and got myself a couple of MG gundams. It wasn't my plan in the first place, i went there with my gf to take some pictures of the shops for her multimedia assignment. Since i'm there so i thought i could check out the prices of the gundams i wanna get in the future, only to find out that they're the last boxes in the market(Times Square for instance). So i got it anyways.

Got myself a Mr. Surfacer 500 at the hobby shop on the 7th floor of Times Square. I'm planning to prime the Nu Gundam and give it a grey monotone color to the gundam, makes it a nice prototype look. =)

I always have problems with yellow pieces from MG Gundams. At least the yellow pieces of Mk-II Titans looks better than the Nu Gundam. Considering they both needed to be painted so it doesn't matter. I'll be runner-spraying the dark grey to matt black too. Couldn't be bother with dark grey. Probably.

Here's some pictures i didn't take earlier when i blog about Hi Nu Gundam. All in all, all the colors for Hi Nu Gundam are really nice. Though my initial thought is to runner-spray the white and blue to get rid of the plastic reflection feel, but since the silver pieces are a bit reflective, i might let it be and have a final glossy coat to it. Couldn't decide yet.

A collective of my not assembled MG Gundams. Now i have a couple of problems, 1st. i need to make space for my new gundams now. 2nd. i need to figure out the right paint jobs i want for the gundams. 3rd. i hardly have time to build them in one short. 4th. I need to go 1u over the weekend to get the tamiya paint, unless i could get Mr. Hobby paints from XL-Shop.

111.) Cleaner solution update

I left the head piece to soak in the multi-purpose cleaner liquid overnight and most of the ink have been removed. Just leaving some stubborn ones in corner areas. I renew the liquid and continue to let it soak in for another day.

The multi purpose cleaner has no effects on flat coated piece. My FAZZ is still white. Only solution, use the markers on it. LOL.

Gonna watch heroes season 3 later. =)

110.) Gundam Marker testing..

With God's given rest of the weekend from work at apv, i've decided to test out the gundam markers i bought the other day. Well, it's a bit of a mix results, but overall, i would i say, it was a DISASTROUS. Considering from a person who finishes art stream during his senior highschool, he fails in art. HAHA. Well, painting i would say. It's easy to paint a darker color to a lighter color piece, for example, i painted red to a transparent green piece and it turns out great. Yellow and white to blue is a total disastrous. It just proves me right that i needed to use primer to get a standard grey color for easy painting, yet i ignore my senses and continued to paint. AND TA DA, i fu*ked up.

I've also tested on a few liquid and see if it could remove the markers' ink. Well apparently yes and no. The standard window cleaner does jack shit to the gundam marker, but i believe i would remove acrylic paint but not gundam markers'. But well. MY real disastrous comes in with the gundam's head. I modify some parts and painted it red but overdid it so i painted outside of the areas i wanted to paint. Nail polish remover fails to remove nothing, yet slightly diluting the color to orange. WTF.

Below's some images of the pieces i painted. Lazy to snap them with a proper cam.

MG has more pieces, therefore more detailing, HG has lesser pieces, lesser detailing and not to mention small little cute BB gundam. There's a lot of parts needed to paint to mimic the anime look for the gundam, so i attempted to mimic it, but failed. The green pieces on the right are his power drive, i painted it red to make it to mimic its "super trans mode".

Before and after. LOL.

Before and after.

My verdict of the night..? If you really want to paint your gundam, use AT LEAST spray if not, air brush. Only use gundam markers for minimum parts or you're lazy enough and use it to cover nub marks on the pieces.

My solution? If the cleaner solution fails. I would probably get primer and redo the colors, or possibly just reSPRAY a new color to it. Since i still have 10-20% of my Sazabi red spray, i might just use it to replace all the white parts on my Exia. Well, couldn't help it, could i? I'll just have to get another one when i go Lowyat again.

HOW the heck people paint with gundam markers? I got a feeling they use it to touch up small parts..LOL..

Final word/words: FAIL.

Sorry BB Exia. I'll redo you and get another one.

109.) 3rd day at APV

Today is my 3rd day at work in Asia-Pacific Videolab. It's really nice working there though. I'm learning a lot of stuffs i didn't get to learn from previous working experience or from COLLEGE.(why i pay college anyways....) Oh yeah, i pay college so i could get a better starting pay. HMMMM.. But anyways, the VTR department is like the heart of APV i would say. People comes in and out all the time. Producer comes by, the online & offline editors come by, the graphic artists come by, the telecines guys come by..only the tea ladies stay out of here. LOL. Or, occasionally, clients come by too. LOL. It's usually quiet during morning and early noon, and will be crowded during 2pm onwards. HAHA. The VTR room will be crowded with people.

I've met almost everyone in APV, though have yet to personally know them. So far the guys from my department are really cool. Fizi is the head of VTR, though he is 2 years younger than me, he is very knowledgeable in this department. OH, he likes gundams too. LOL. Dino[saur], my other senior, who likes gundams too, he's been assembling his 1/144 Gundam Exia during rest hours at work. @@ There's 8 of us in VTR. LOL. Too much to say about them here. OH, not forgetting there's this online editor, Am. She likes to come into VTR to hang out. She's usually noisy and loud. You can hear her from FAR, very far. For someone as petite as her, YUP, she's loud. I'm pretty sleepy now, so i not sure what i typed. LOL. Will continue another day.

I found out that Fizi wants to buy Gundam Virtue too. Yeah, "too" cause i was thinking to get it on Saturday but got lazy eventually and stayed at home. Cause both of us knew the price for it so i decided to check it out and possibly buy it and so i went to Lowyat after work. The traffic was pretty bad after the heavy rain so took me an hour from PJ to go Lowyat. Upon entering, and a few minutes of browsing the gundams at the toy shop in Lowyat. IT CAUGHT MY EYE, the price for Hi-Nu Gundam did!!! I wanted to get it a couple months ago, then it was around Rm225-245, depending where you saw it. BUT it is RM139 NOW. WTH!! Immediately i grabbed the box from the shelves and placed it at the counter. I doubt the price at first, but apparently, the girl who works there said she has no idea, but it's her boss who put the price. So it has to be RM139 then. I wanted to get Gundam Virtue as well, it's RM133. But well, i've decided to buy one by one. Since i hardly have time to do anything now. So i'll just go home without Virtue then.

YES, i bought MG Hi-Nu Gundam for RM139!! ><" For some reasons, it dropped from RM200-ish to RM139. ><

Here's a few photos i took of the MG Hi-Nu Gundam, i was gonna show the pieces and the runners. But was too lazy and sleepy. LOL. That has to wait then. But overall, i have no complaints on the runners, just i would probably(99%) to give the white and blue a coat before assembling. The other colors are great, no need extra coloring.

I also grabbed a gundam marker set. It's Gundam 00 marker set. Initially it's meant for my BB Gundam Exia. But i could use the yellow, white and blue for my other gundams as well. And of course, i'm waiting for the MG Gundam Exia.

Also picked up the latest PlayStation Mag on the way out of Sg. Wang.

Speaking of the gundam shop owner at Lowyat, he is pretty 'kiamsap' a.k.a stingy. Considered the previous two attempts when i asked for the gundam catalog when i bought Ex-S and Strike Freedom, he said he has none. ><" He wasn't around today so i asked the girl worker if they have any EXTRA and she gives me one. LOL. It's the Ultimate Master Grade Catalog. =pp

Here's some slightly updated pose of my gundams, except Strike Freedom. Ah, yes. I gave FAZZ back his back a$$ bazooka. LOL.

Off to bed now. Zzzzzzz...

108.) BB Gundam Exia

Had a boring afternoon before heading to Sunway Pyramid with my gf in the evening. She bought me dinner at Dragon-i as a token of congratulating and wishing me good luck at my new work place, APV. We had two different dishes of dumplings, one was Shanghainese and the other was Beijingese i think. Couldn't remember, but they both are delicious. We normally ordered their famous Shanghainese dumplings, just thought of trying something else today, at the same time, having the Shanghainese one. Though, she couldn't finish her rice cause she kept eating my dumplings. Haha, so we 'tar pau' for her lunch tomorrow.

We walked around after dinner and i found a hobby shop that sells a small selective of gundam models, very few but still could found something i like, the BB Gundam Exia. I saw the box in Times Square few weeks back, was looking for it, but they sold out. So immediately bought it just now. It's pretty nice however it requires a lot of painting to make it REALLY nice. Check last picture for example. The shield consists of 3 colors but the piece comes in blue. Now if i really want it to look really nice and almost identical to the original color, i need to paint grey and white to the shield. ><" There's a number of pieces that requires painting if i were to make it really nice, both shields, both knifes, a huge sword and possibly other small parts as well. Guess i'm gonna shelve this before i decide to paint it or not, consider i'm also starting my full time job on Monday. So, we'll see.

107.) My study/work hall

Stuffs in my hall, gundams, lord of the ring, mage knights and many other stuffs. LOL.

106.) PS3 noise.

video

Unfortunately, PS3 isn't supposed to be so loud. At least it should be much quieter than the x360. However, yes indeed, the first generations of the PS3 are really quiet. You wouldn't know if it's running or not. It's unfortunate for consumers that Sony has changed the original PS3's fan from 19-blade to 15-blade, the 15-blade fan is less effective, having less blades, it needs to spins faster to create better airflow and makes more noise. The engineer design of the 15-blade is also wrong because the 19-blade are designed to prevent air from going in, but 15-blade has no such design.

Rumors says, PS3 made in Japan are still using 19-blade fans but those made in China are using 15-blade fans. I wonder who's cutting who's throat now.

If you have Microsoft Xbox360, then you're pretty used to the fan noise. But there's still ways you could get rid of the PS3 fan noise. After researching on the net, there's 2 ways, a.) change the 15-blade to 19-blade fan, and b.) apply thermal paste(arctic silver 7) on the processor. I have yet to find anyone who does that locally. Perhaps only hardcore PC tweakers would mod their PS3.

If you know anyone who mod their PS3, please let me know. I need to get rid of the noise. Though been playing it for almost 6 months now, i still find the noise extra...very..disturbing..It's like a jet is taking off.

105.) My 08' showreel.

My montage.
video

I wanted to compile a full showreel of all my work but didn't have time to do it cause were rushing this for an interview appointment with APV the next day. So yeah. Perhaps will compile my full work once i have more time in the future. Starting my full time job as VTR operator with APV on next Monday (19/9/08).

I wasn't ready for a full time commitment though, that's why been looking around for a couple of freelance editing jobs. Of course the pay is pretty lucrative, but long term wise, a bit risky. And after having a brief talk with Amir Rashid over the net, he recommended that i should get a full time job instead, like himself, who's shifting to a full time color grader soon. He gave me the recruitment site for APV and told me to apply for it and i did. I emailed them my CV and compile my work over the weekend. Up to my surprise is that they call me up first thing on Monday morning for interview so i had to rush to put text for the showreel just before i left the house for interview. I met the head of producer, Bob and the GM, Zai, they're both very friendly. But anyways, i received a call from APV on the next day that i got the job. I was pretty happy though. It's my first full time job as, although the entry rank of a post house, but i get to work with films, which i have been doing digital only. However, already got scolding from the admin staff yesterday because my writing for my application were too 'scribbling'. HAHA.

So folks, if you gonna apply anything in handwritten form, make sure it's your best handwriting. HAHA.

104.) Slow month

It's been...uh..it's a very slow September indeed. Haven't been doing much since i "half graduated" late August. I say half cause my convo is in July 09, another year till i received my goddamn certificate. Have been looking for freelance jobs, but all are still in pending. Hopefully can get one by next week.

Anyways, finally completed the gundams i bought recently and also stop purchasing gundams now. 1. I'm broke and 2. I'm running out of space to display them.

My most recent gundam will be Sazabi, it's also the first gundam that i pre sprayed it entirely. Surprisingly, the red gundam comes in two tons of red, a dark red and a very cheap red. I pre spray them both to make it even, though couldn't find Matt Red, so had to go with soft Metallic Red. I also pre spray all other parts to Matt Black. Sazabi it's also my first MG gundam that i inked before i started putting it together and do the decals parts by parts before finally assembling it. Everyone has different ways to do inking and decals, but i just prefer doing it before putting everything together. WHICH i highly regretted not doing it for my previous 3 gundams cause now i gotta remove parts by parts to do the inking and decals.

There's been a lot of changes at home recently, moving my workstation to the study hall out. Clearing out my dad's thrash cause he leaves all the rubbish around, need to clear them for my stuffs and shit. Well. Still not entirely done packing things yet, but almost done, almost.

Meanwhile. Started inking and putting decals on my Strike Freedom, inking is done but haven't do the decals yet.

Below is a couple of pictures of my gundams before moving my stuffs outside. They have a proper display cabinet now, which i'm too lazy to take photos yet. Wait till i'm done with all the inking and decals, i'll take photo of them in their display cabinet.

If you wish to see more images of the Sazabi, please visit my facebook album here.

Oh, and also added Reema and Benjamin's blogs at my favourite website link.

Based on Raimond Gaita's critically acclaimed memoir. It tells the story of Romulus, his beautiful wife, Christina, ad their struggle in the face of great adversity to bring up their son, Raimond. It is the tale of a boy trying to balance a universe described by his deeply moral father, against the experience of heartbreaking absence and neglect from a depressive mother. 99.) Batman 3 by 2011???

Sequel among for DC movies due out in next three years!

With the Dark Knight not only the biggest hit of 2008 but also one the highest grossing movies of all time, Warner Bros. is understandably eager to bring director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale batcave ASAP.

According to The Wall Street Journal, "The studio is set to announce its plans for future DC movies in the next month. For now though, it is focused on releasing four comic-book films in the next 3 years, including a 3rd Batman film, a new film reintroducing Superman, and two movies focusing on other DC comics characters."

Given the success of the grim and gritty Dark Knight, Warner Bros. Pictures Group President Jeff Robinov says the studio's upcoming DC movie slate is going to try to go dark to the extent that the characters allow it".

98.) Transporter 3

Transporter 3 is a 2008 action film and is the 3rd installment in the Transporter series. Both Jason Statham and Francois Berleand will reprise their roles, as Frank Martin and Tarconi, repestively. Robert Knepper will be added to the cast list. This will be the first film in the series to be directed by Olivier Megaton. This film will continue the story of Frank Martin, a professional ''transporter'' who has relocated to Paris to continue his low-key business of delivering packages without questions.

97.) Finally completed 2

Yup, i've finally completed my 2nd gundam, which is a MG Strike Freedom. Took me several days to complete it as i only spent 2-3 hours each day, i took a day for spraying the white parts, a night for the body and head, another night for the legs and waist, another night for the wings and weapons and then finally the stands and the projected wings. It looks smaller than the FAZZ(the fatty) but it has a lot of small parts in it's body, it was more difficult to build than the fatty. It can be posed in another form where the projected blue wings are attached to it's wings, along with a different stand. =)

Anyhow, i also completed my freelance editing for StarMedia so now i can concentrate on my personal work before i head out for job interviews, or more freelance editing.

I'll be building my 3rd gundam soon, the Ex-S, which will take more effort and time consuming than both gundams i've built.

Later, gotta compile all my work for my editor's showreel and once i'm done with all that. Will continue to expand my existing story for a short film which was scheduled for September project. Though will likely to be postponed cause i wanna work more on the story before pushing it for pre-pro. =)

Do expect slower posts. And thanks all for revisiting my blog from time to time. =p

96.) Finally completed..

I've finally completed my first MG gundam that i bought few months ago. Finally had the time to do it. I spent roughly 2 days on it. Well, as i was watching TV the whole time.

Anyway. Everything was good before i give it a top coating. Considering i bought a "flat clear" top coat, my gundam ended up to be white. LOL. It's my first time using a top coat, so i'm guessing either i sprayed too much or sprayed too close to it or probably both as i remember the first few layers of top coat was fine before i over did it. Other than the gundam is unusual white now, i did not do any inking and apply the decals on it yet as i have to buy paint to paint the parts i accidently made white. LOL. Though, that won't happen soon as i have two more gundams to build before i come back to fix the color.

After first time experiment with the top coat, i must discover what went wrong by spraying the used runners first thing in the morning. LOL. Damn "flat clear" top coat.

Below are a couple of pictures i took of my gundam, it's really clean, no nubs, no inking and no decals. Though, too 'clean' as it's too white. LMAO. Will be looking forward to build my MG Strike Gundam now, before i kick off with the impossible crazy difficult gundam, Ex-S.

91.) The Day the Earth Stood Still

The Day the Earth stood still is a 2008 science fiction film, a remake of the 1951 film of the same name. Directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Keanu Reeves as Klaatu, the film updates Cold War themes like nuclear warfare to more contemporary ones, such as "humans vs. nature" and humanity generally violent nature toward itself.

Scott Derrickson is a screenwriter, producer and director. He has written and directed the film The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

Keanu Reeves as Klaatu, an alien messeger. Klaatu in the remake is not as warm or human as Michael Rennie's interpretation in the original, and is an alien contained in a human body, rather than an alien with a humanoid form.
